Getting to know the Queen in the Mirror: Understanding Mind, Body, & Soul
Women of color are challenged by daily social and personal responsibilities that hinder opportunities for them to truly engage in self-care practices necessary for a healthy balance in their mind, body, and soul. This workshop is designed to offer simple tools that can be used to practice healthy self-care. Some of the discussions we will engage in are, “When do I come first?”, “When’s the last time you really RESTED?”, “How big is that weight on your shoulder and most importantly identifying that “S” ON YOUR CHEST IS FOR SELF-CARE, NOT SUPERWOMAN. We will end our workshop with a yoga session to show how incorporating yoga in your daily life will not only give you refill your MIND, BODY, and SOUL but will give you a whole new pep in your step. life coaches on self-care will be available as well.
