Months before I decided to get my life coaching certification, I was talking with one of my close relatives and he asked me "why do you think people will choose you over other life coaches, Jen?" I couldn't answer my cousin that day but it was great food for thought and before I finally gave him an answer, I pondered over that question for several days.

I always knew I wanted to help others. That childhood dream (that so many others have) of wanting to be a doctor, teacher, and lawyer--yeah that was me too. Well, life had other plans for me. There's no question that I'm blessed but you know what, there's no testimony without a test. I'm here to tell you; there's life after losing a parent. There's life after failing a test. There's life after being jobless. There's life after being homeless. There's life after being without means. There's life without knowing your purpose. There's life after depression. There's life after failed and unhealthy relationships. There's life after sickness and surgery. There is life after being at a crossroad.

Life is one of our best teacher's. Through my various trials and tribulations mixed with years of education and experience, I am able to relate to so many of life's adversities. Aside from my qualifications, I am a lover of people; people of all walks of life and cultures. Healthy boundaries, trust, empathy, and how to meet someone where they are in order to reach their goal(s) are also apart of JGJI's core values.
